Orlando Science Center: Sara and Scott's Gorgeous Green Wedding

When it came to designing the concept for Sara and Scott's April 1st wedding, there were two things they wanted: a little bit of whimsy and a lot of green.  Both the bride and groom love the color green.  The bride's engagement ring even includes two beautiful emerald stones!  So for her wedding day, Sara found adorable green sequenced shoes to wear with her dress and accented her look with a pretty green beaded necklace.  And Scott didn't want to look like every other groom either, so he had dark green suits custom made for himself and his best man.

Sara's bouquet was so beautiful.  Made by Flowers By Lesley, it was composed of green and white parrot tulips, white scabious and scabious pods, succulents, green hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus and hanging amaranthus.

For their ceremony, Scott had always pictured something outdoors, in a natural setting, under a large tree and the Sculpture Garden in Loch Haven Park outside of the Mennello Museum provided just that. Lanterns and swirls of white rose petals lined the ceremony aisle as the wedding party entered to music played by harpist Christine MacPhail.  And for something unique, Sara came down the aisle to Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."

Sara and Scott's cocktail hour and reception took place inside the Orlando Science Center.  While many couples choose to use OSC's terrace that overlooks the city, Sara just couldn't pass up the chance to dance, dine and celebrate in Dino Digs, where there are life-size skeletons of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, and other dinosaurs.

As guests entered the Dino Digs room they were greeted by at T-rex holding a card in his mouth welcoming them to the wedding.  Embellished escort cards by Embrace Calligraphy let guests know their assigned tables, which were named after various shades of green like hunter, olive, kelly and spring.

The reception tables, covered with emerald fortuny linens from Over The Top, were stunning.  Green uplighting from A-List DJ Entertainment accented the room and tall centerpieces with hydrangea, tulips, curly willow and hanging votives by Flowers By Lesley had an enchanting and natural feel.

The wedding cake, by It's Tasty Too, sat on a wood cake stand and was topped with a Mr. and Mrs. Dino cake topper Sara had custom made on Etsy.  Mrs. Dino even had a green and white bouquet like Sara did!

Sara and Scott entered the reception to "Walk The Dinosaur" by Was Not Was, setting the tone for the rest of the night.  The dance floor stayed packed, thanks to DJ Asher with A-List DJ Entertainment.  The entire day was captured by Wings of Glory Photography and, thanks to their excellent shooting skills, there's proof of the best cake-cutting smash I've ever witnessed!

Sara and Scott's wedding was so unique and so much fun to plan!  We love when a couple puts so much of their personality into every detail.  Thank you so much for allowing Anna Christine Events to be part of your day!

Rosen Shingle Creek: Toshia and Jason's Warm and Cozy Winter Wedding

Toshia and Jason were such an awesome couple and I had an amazing time planning and designing their "warm and cozy winter wedding."  Toshia is originally from New Hampshire and winter is her favorite time of year, so when we designed her a wedding with a woodsy-cabin feel that reminded her home.

The bride, who said she never wears dresses or makeup, made an exception for her big day and the results were stunning.  I was there when she choose her dress and the second she tried on the gown by Melissa Sweet for David's Bridal, we knew it was the one.  Between that dress and her hair and make-up by The Makeover Maven, she was breathtaking!

We chose the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel for their ceremony and reception.  As guests arrived at the ceremony they were encouraged to sign fabric squares, instead of a guestbook, and Toshia would later sew the squares into a quilt.

The ceremony, which took place in the hotel's Sandlake Ballroom, was white, wintry and romantic.  The ceremony arch was decorated in baby's breath and twinkle lights and the aisle was lined with piles of white rose petals.

The woodsy-wintry theme continued in the reception and we added red to the color scheme to bring in the cozy feel.  Flowers By Lesley created the centerpieces and table-scapes, accented with pine-cones, river rocks, candles and wood. The escort cards, designed by Dogwood Blossom Stationary, were decorated with various winter items and woodland creatures and let guests know the name of their table.  And for something fun and different, the guests' menus featured a custom Mad-Lib on the back!

One of the wedding's highlights was the cakes!  The pig and panda cake topper from Etsy on the wedding cake was so adorable!  And the groom had his own cake representing his alma matar, FSU.

A-List DJ Entertainment kept everyone dancing way into the night! The newlyweds had a beautiful sparkler exit and the whole event was captured on film by Rhodes Studios

We wish Toshia and Jason the best and we were honored to work alongside such talented companies on their special day!

International Palms Resort Photo Shoot: Tropical Inspiration!

Summer and fall weddings are around the corner, so check out this bridal photo shoot we organized for some tropical inspiration with International Palms Resort and Shinner Photography! For more information on the photo shoot, check out Beautiful Bride magazine that featured this shoot on the front cover!

The ceremony scene looked amazing and so did our model bride! Marigold Scott on Location Hair and Makeup took the model's natural looks and enhanced them. The dress, by Allure Gown from Minerva's Bridal, looked stunning as well.

The warm, tropical look was created by A Chair Affair's natural wood chiavari chairs for the ceremony and bamboo chairs for the reception area. The centerpieces, from Flowers by Lesley's, completed the reception look with floating candles and beautiful orange, red, and white flowers.

Kirby Rentals provided the fabulous taupe brown linens with burlap table runners on the square table settings.

Nannuk Media Group astounded us with the gorgeous table numbers and wedding stationary they created that coordinated perfectly with our tropical autumn theme.

I love participating in photo shoots and this one was no different! Working with these talented companies was a blast.
